Chia Pudding with Mango [Fast and Easy Vegan, GF Breakfast]

Chia Seeds are a fantastic source of vegetarian Omega 3 fatty acids as well as a great source of proteins to add to your diet. That’s why I decided to share an easy breakfast with you guys and explain the benefits of Chia Seeds…

Why Chia Seeds?

  • Chia seeds are a great source of amino acids/proteins, 5g per tablespoon which are necessary for your cell growth and muscles
  • Omega 3 fatty acids which are a great source of fat for your brain as it uses fat to function
  • Calcium and magnesium which work together to keep your bones healthy and strong
  • These are great sources of omega3 especially if you don’t eat fish because you hate it or if are vegan and therefore not eating any fish.

And if you top up your chia jelly with fruits you also gain vitamins and important anti-oxidants which help your immune system an help fight bacteria’s in your body. Awesome!



First you place 3 table spoons of chia seeds into a bowl. This will give you 15g of proteins already 🙂

Then you add a milk of your choice and just about cover the seeds with it. You can use rice, oats, coconut, soy or almond milk… all Yummy.

Then  you let the seeds soak for about 5 min. Meanwhile you can go about chopping some fruit… And this is how it looks like when ready: Like Jelly

Now add fruit of your choice. Best is to change daily so you get different types of vitamons into your diet. I chose mango because the mango season just started in Australia and mangoes are just sooooooooo YUMMY. They are so sweet and juicy.. MMMHHH. And last you add the fruit on top of the chia seed jelly. That’s it.


Healthy breakky packed with protein, omega 3, anti-oxidants, magnesium, calcium and vitamins… and if you cant tolerate gluten it is also gluten free. Best way to start your day!
